My first android application
I always wanted to learn and study the development of android application but never got chance for it. After I got my new Android powered Samsung mobile phone, I started learning Android and finally came up with a very basic application during my learning process. It can be downloaded here. Download the .apk file and transfer to your phone. If you haven’t install Android driver in your PC, you can use SD memory card to transfer the .apk file from PC to mobile phone. It is also possible to download directly from your mobile phone too.
You need to allow your device to install application from unknown source.
The application shows your current location details such as latitude, longitude, altitude, etc. The application uses either wireless location service of android or GPS. If you have turned on both services then the application uses GPS service.
After the service has started, the application displays yours last known location and updates frequently after the current location is known. Use GPS for accurate values. 
Speed is available only when you use GPS and your device is moving.
